Cancellation & Refund Policy | Resilient Therapy, LLC

At Resilient Therapy, LLC, we are committed to providing high-quality clinical care to all our clients. To ensure that every individual has access to timely support, we maintain a dedicated scheduling system.

When you book an appointment with us, that time is reserved exclusively for you. Because that hour is set aside for your healing and progress, we require notice if you are unable to attend. Below you will find our official policy regarding cancellations, no-shows, and refunds.

The Importance of Advance Notice

When a session is canceled without adequate notice, we are unable to fill that time slot by offering it to another person in need or a client experiencing a clinical emergency. 

Please note that if you pay for your therapy sessions using an insurance policy, we are unable to bill your insurance company for sessions that are not kept.

Our 24-Hour Cancellation Policy

Clients are welcome to cancel or reschedule an appointment at any time, provided that at least 24 hours’ notice is given.
 
  • Late Cancellations & No-Shows: If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours' notice, or fail to show up for your scheduled time, a $100 fee will be charged.
  • Late Arrivals: Consistency is key to clinical progress. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, it will be considered a "No Show." In this instance, the session will be canceled, and the late cancellation fee will apply.

Insurance and Out-of-Pocket Responsibilities

It is important to remember that health insurance providers do not provide reimbursement for missed appointments. Consequently, if you miss a session or cancel late, you will be responsible for the full $100 fee, rather than just your usual co-pay or deductible amount.

Refund Information

Payments made for completed therapy sessions are generally non-refundable. In the event of a billing error or an overpayment, please contact our administrative office at (517) 258-2189 / info@resilienttherapy-llc.com to resolve the discrepancy promptly.
